Prayer for Spiritual Empowerment and Kingdom Advancement
Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we come before You during this sixth watch, seeking the empowering presence of Your Holy Spirit.
Lord, we thank You for the promise of the Holy Ghost and for the power You have given Your church to become witnesses of Jesus Christ.
Father, fill us afresh with Your Spirit. Remove spiritual complacency, selfish ambition, and every desire that would hinder us from fulfilling Your divine purpose.
Let our lives demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance.
Lord, awaken Your church to the urgency of the gospel.
Raise up faithful laborers who will preach the truth, disciple new believers, care for the poor, and minister to the brokenhearted.
We lift up the apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers whom You have called to equip the saints for the work of the ministry.
Grant them wisdom, humility, courage, and faithfulness to Your written Word.
Father, let every spiritual gift operate according to Your will and for the edification of the body of Christ.
Give us discernment to test every spirit, every prophecy, and every teaching by the truth of Scripture.
We pray for the salvation of souls throughout our communities, our nation, and the nations of the earth.
Open doors for the gospel to be preached, and prepare the hearts of those who will hear Your Word.
Lord, strengthen those who are persecuted for their faith. Give them courage to remain steadfast and provide for their families in the midst of hardship.
We pray for unity within the body of Christ, that believers would put away envy, strife, division, and competition.
Teach us to serve one another in love and to recognize that every member of the body has a purpose.
Father, empower us to carry out the assignments You have given us today.
Let our words bring encouragement, our hands demonstrate compassion, and our lives bear witness to the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
In Jesus Christ's mighty name, Amen.
Acts 2:15–18 (KJV) — “For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.” “But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;” “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:”
