Prayer for Complete Healing

Spirit • Soul • Body

PRAYER FOR COMPLETE HEALING

Spirit • Soul • Body

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:23 (KJV)

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You, the God who created us, the God who sustains us, and the God who heals us. You declared, “I am the LORD that healeth thee” (Exodus 15:26). Therefore, we look unto You as our Healer, our Deliverer, our Restorer, our Strength, and our Hope.

We surrender our entire being unto You—spirit, soul, and body. Search us, cleanse us, restore us, strengthen us, and make us whole according to Your will and Your Word.

Father, we begin with repentance. Forgive us for every sin committed in word, thought, or deed, knowingly or unknowingly. Your Word declares, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

Create in us clean hearts, O God, and renew right spirits within us. Wash us thoroughly from our iniquities and cleanse us from our sins. Where sin has opened doors to destruction, bondage, guilt, shame, fear, bitterness, unforgiveness, or spiritual weakness, we repent and ask You to cleanse and restore us.

HEAL OUR SPIRIT

Father, bring healing to the deepest places of our spiritual lives.

Where our relationship with You has become wounded, distant, dry, discouraged, or weakened, revive us again.

Restore unto us the joy of Your salvation and uphold us with Your free Spirit.

Your Word declares that You “healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds” (Psalm 147:3). Bind every spiritual wound. Restore every place damaged by disappointment, betrayal, rejection, failure, grief, abandonment, church hurt, broken relationships, or unanswered questions.

Revive our hunger for Your presence.

Revive our hunger for Your Word.

Revive our desire for prayer.

Revive our worship.

Revive our faith.

Revive our obedience.

Revive our sensitivity to the Holy Ghost.

Where our spirits have become weary, breathe upon us again.

Where hope has weakened, strengthen us.

Where faith has been attacked, increase our faith.

Where condemnation has attempted to separate us from You, remind us that “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1).

Let the inward man be strengthened with might by Your Spirit.

Restore fellowship with You. Restore spiritual clarity. Restore discernment. Restore confidence in Your Word.

Let everything within us come back into divine alignment with You.

HEAL OUR SOUL

Father, Your Word reveals that You desire restoration in the soul. David declared, “He restoreth my soul” (Psalm 23:3).

Therefore, restore our souls.

Heal our minds.

Heal our wills.

Heal our emotions.

Heal our memories.

Heal our thought patterns.

Heal the places within us that people cannot see.

Heal wounds created in childhood.

Heal wounds created in adulthood.

Heal wounds caused by rejection, abandonment, betrayal, humiliation, disappointment, abuse, grief, loss, failure, broken relationships, harsh words, traumatic experiences, and seasons we survived but never fully processed.

Father, enter those hidden rooms of the heart and bring Your light.

Your Word says, “The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?” (Proverbs 18:14).

Heal the wounded places.

Bind up the brokenhearted.

Give “beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness” according to Isaiah 61:3.

Where there has been mourning, release comfort.

Where there has been heaviness, release praise.

Where there has been confusion, release clarity.

Where there has been turmoil, release peace.

Where there has been fear, establish faith.

Where there has been anxiety, teach our hearts to rest in You.

Where there has been bitterness, release forgiveness.

Where there has been anger, bring peace.

Where there has been rejection, establish our identity in Christ.

Where there has been shame, restore dignity.

Where there has been guilt after repentance, remind us that we have been cleansed.

Where our minds have been tormented, establish the mind of Christ.

Your Word declares, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7).

Therefore, Father, establish within us a sound mind.

Let our thoughts come under the authority of Jesus Christ.

We cast down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and we bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ according to 2 Corinthians 10:5.

Renew our minds through Your Word.

Teach us to think upon whatsoever things are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtuous, and worthy of praise according to Philippians 4:8.

Guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Let “the peace of God, which passeth all understanding” keep our hearts and minds (Philippians 4:7).

HEAL OUR BODIES

Father, we present our physical bodies before You.

You created every system.

You created every organ.

You created every bone.

You created every muscle.

You created every nerve.

You created every cell.

You created the blood flowing through our bodies.

You know us completely.

Your Word declares concerning Jesus, “Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses” (Matthew 8:17).

Your Word declares of Christ, “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree… by whose stripes ye were healed” (1 Peter 2:24).

Therefore, Father, according to Your will and mercy, stretch forth Your hand to heal.

Bring healing to our bodies from the crown of our heads to the soles of our feet.

Touch our brains and neurological systems.

Touch our eyes and vision.

Touch our ears and hearing.

Touch our mouths, teeth, gums, throats, and speech.

Touch our hearts and cardiovascular systems.

Touch our blood and circulation.

Touch our lungs and respiratory systems.

Touch our stomachs and digestive systems.

Touch our kidneys and urinary systems.

Touch our livers and every organ responsible for cleansing and processing within the body.

Touch our immune systems.

Touch our endocrine and hormonal systems.

Touch our reproductive systems.

Touch our bones, joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and connective tissues.

Touch our skin.

Touch our nerves.

Touch every cell and every function of our bodies.

Where there is inflammation, bring relief.

Where there is pain, bring relief.

Where there is weakness, bring strength.

Where there is disease, bring healing according to Your mercy.

Where something is functioning improperly, restore proper function.

Where something has been damaged, bring restoration.

Where the body has been weakened through sickness, surgery, injury, treatment, stress, exhaustion, or age, renew strength.

Father, You said in Jeremiah 30:17, “For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds.”

Restore health.

Restore strength.

Restore energy.

Restore mobility.

Restore proper function.

Restore healthy sleep.

Restore appetite where restoration is needed.

Restore balance within the body.

Restore what sickness has taken.

STRENGTHEN THE WEAK AND WEARY

Father, some are not only sick—they are tired.

Some have been fighting for a long time.

Some have become weary through treatments, appointments, diagnoses, pain, limitations, sleepless nights, and repeated disappointments.

Strengthen them.

Your Word declares, “He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength” (Isaiah 40:29).

Renew our strength so that we mount up with wings as eagles; let us run and not be weary, and walk and not faint.

You are the strength of our hearts.

When our flesh and our hearts fail, remain the strength of our hearts and our portion forever.

HEAL THE BROKENHEARTED

Jesus, You declared that You were sent “to heal the brokenhearted” (Luke 4:18).

Therefore, heal every broken heart.

Heal those grieving the death of loved ones.

Heal those mourning broken marriages.

Heal parents grieving concerning their children.

Heal children wounded by parents.

Heal husbands.

Heal wives.

Heal sons.

Heal daughters.

Heal grandparents.

Heal families.

Heal friendships.

Heal those wounded by people they trusted.

Heal those carrying pain they have never spoken aloud.

Heal those who smile publicly while bleeding privately.

Bind their wounds.

Comfort them.

Restore their ability to love.

Restore their ability to trust wisely.

Restore their ability to experience joy.

Restore hope for their future.

DELIVER US FROM OPPRESSION

Father, where healing requires deliverance, let deliverance come.

Jesus went about “doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil” (Acts 10:38).

Therefore, in the authority of Jesus Christ, let every work of darkness operating against the lives of Your people be broken according to Your will.

Deliver from fear.

Deliver from torment.

Deliver from spiritual oppression.

Deliver from destructive compulsions.

Deliver from bondage.

Deliver from bitterness.

Deliver from unforgiveness.

Deliver from hatred.

Deliver from condemnation.

Deliver from shame.

Deliver from deception.

Deliver from every spiritual weight designed to hinder freedom in Christ.

Whom the Son makes free is free indeed.

Fill every place that has been emptied with Your Spirit, Your truth, Your Word, Your peace, and Your presence.

HEAL OUR RELATIONSHIPS

Father, bring healing between husbands and wives.

Bring healing between parents and children.

Bring healing between brothers and sisters.

Bring healing throughout generations.

Where reconciliation is righteous and possible, create pathways toward reconciliation.

Give us grace to forgive.

Give us humility to apologize.

Give us wisdom to establish healthy boundaries where needed.

Give us courage to speak truth in love.

Remove bitterness before it takes root.

Let peace rule in our hearts.

Teach us to be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven us.

RESTORE WHAT HAS BEEN LOST

Father, You are not only a healer; You are a Restorer.

Your Word declares, “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten” (Joel 2:25).

Restore years.

Restore opportunities.

Restore strength.

Restore relationships according to Your will.

Restore confidence.

Restore joy.

Restore purpose.

Restore spiritual gifts that have become dormant.

Restore passion.

Restore vision.

Restore healthy thinking.

Restore the desire to live fully.

Restore what adversity attempted to destroy.

Take the broken pieces and use even them for Your glory.

GIVE WISDOM FOR THE HEALING PROCESS

Father, give us wisdom concerning our health.

Teach us how to care properly for the bodies You have given us.

Give wisdom to physicians, nurses, counselors, therapists, caregivers, surgeons, specialists, pharmacists, and every person involved in providing legitimate care.

Guide diagnoses.

Guide treatments.

Guide medications.

Guide procedures.

Guide rehabilitation.

Give discernment concerning what is helpful and what is harmful.

Give us discipline concerning food, rest, exercise, stress, and habits.

Keep us from rejecting wise help because we are praying, and keep us from trusting human wisdom while forgetting the God who gives wisdom.

Our confidence ultimately remains in You.

PROTECT US DURING RECOVERY

Father, while healing is taking place, protect us.

Protect weakened bodies from additional sickness.

Protect recovering minds from discouragement.

Protect wounded hearts from further unnecessary injury.

Protect us from fear concerning symptoms.

Protect us from hopelessness concerning diagnoses.

Protect us from becoming consumed by what we see.

Help us walk by faith and not by sight while also walking in wisdom.

Let Your grace be sufficient for every day of the journey.

RENEW OUR YOUTH AND STRENGTH

We bless You according to Psalm 103 and forget not all Your benefits:

You forgive our iniquities.

You heal our diseases.

You redeem our lives from destruction.

You crown us with lovingkindness and tender mercies.

You satisfy our mouths with good things so that our youth is renewed like the eagle's.

Father, let renewal come.

Let strength return.

Let joy return.

Let peaceful sleep return.

Let clear thinking return.

Let mobility return where possible.

Let endurance return.

Let hope return.

Let laughter return.

Let worship return.

Let testimony come from the places where there was once pain.

GIVE US PEACE WHILE WE WAIT

Father, we acknowledge that healing does not always unfold according to our timetable.

Therefore, while we pray boldly, teach us also to trust You completely.

When healing is immediate, we will praise You.

When healing is progressive, we will praise You.

When You work through physicians and treatment, we will praise You.

When we must endure a season while trusting Your grace, we will praise You.

Our faith is not merely in an outcome—our faith is in You.

You told Paul, “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Therefore, even in weakness, sustain us.

Even while waiting, keep us.

Even while hurting, comfort us.

Even when we do not understand, hold us.

WE SPEAK THE WORD OF GOD OVER OUR LIVES

We declare:

“I am the LORD that healeth thee.” — Exodus 15:26

HEAL US COMPLETELY

Father, we ask for more than temporary relief.

We ask for wholeness.

Heal the spirit.

Restore the soul.

Strengthen the body.

Heal what is visible.

Heal what is invisible.

Heal what is known.

Heal what has not yet been discovered.

Heal old wounds.

Heal present wounds.

Prevent future wounds where Your wisdom can lead us away from them.

Bring our lives into alignment—spirit, soul, and body.

May our healing become a testimony.

May our restoration become evidence of Your mercy.

May our lives declare that You are faithful.

And after You have restored us, show us how to strengthen others.

Let the comfort wherewith You have comforted us become comfort that we give to others.

Let healed people help hurting people.

Let restored people help restore others.

Let delivered people testify of freedom.

Let every testimony point—not to ourselves—but to Jesus Christ.

Father, we entrust ourselves completely into Your hands.

Whether through miracle, process, medical care, rest, wisdom, deliverance, restoration, counseling, reconciliation, or supernatural intervention, accomplish Your perfect work within us.

We pray for complete healing and preservation of our spirit, soul, and body.

Let the peace of God rule within us.

Let the Word of Christ dwell richly within us.

Let the Holy Ghost strengthen us.

Let the life of Jesus be manifested in us.

And may we live the days You have appointed unto us fulfilling the purpose for which You created us.

We receive Your peace.

We receive Your strength.

We receive Your grace.

We receive Your restoration.

We receive Your comfort.

We receive Your wisdom.

And we look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

In the mighty, matchless, healing, delivering, restoring name of Jesus Christ, we pray.

Amen.
