Father, in the name of Jesus Christ,
Today, I deliberately choose to remain in You. I refuse to live this day disconnected from Your presence, Your Word, Your will, or Your Spirit. Jesus, You are the Vine and I am a branch. My strength, wisdom, direction, power, and ability to produce anything of eternal value come from You. I acknowledge that apart from You I can do nothing.
Therefore, I surrender my independence to You. I do not want to move simply because I have the ability to move. I do not want to speak simply because I have something to say. I do not want to make decisions based solely upon my emotions, experience, opportunities, or understanding. I submit my ways to You and acknowledge You in everything I do. Direct my paths today.
Keep me connected to You.
Let my prayer life keep me connected. Let Your Word keep me connected. Let obedience keep me connected. Let worship keep me connected. Let my dependence upon the Holy Spirit keep me connected.
Father, search me today. Search my heart and know me. Try me and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me and lead me in the everlasting way. Expose anything in my heart that interferes with my fellowship with You.
If there is pride in me, reveal it and remove it. If there is unforgiveness in me, reveal it and help me release it. If there is bitterness in me, uproot it. If there is jealousy, selfish ambition, lust, greed, rebellion, fear, unbelief, or hidden compromise operating in me, bring it into the light.
I don't want to merely appear aligned with You. I want to actually be aligned with You.
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Let Your Word remain in me.
I refuse to be governed primarily by what I see, hear, feel, fear, or imagine. Let Your Word become the standard by which I examine everything else. Give me understanding of Your Word, remembrance of Your Word, hunger for Your Word, and obedience to Your Word.
When my thoughts disagree with Your Word, I choose Your Word.
When my feelings disagree with Your Word, I choose Your Word.
When culture disagrees with Your Word, I choose Your Word.
When my desires conflict with Your will, I choose Your will.
Transform me by the renewing of my mind so that I may discern what is Your good, acceptable, and perfect will.
Father, make my life fruitful.
Jesus said that the person who remains in Him bears much fruit. Therefore, I ask You to examine the fruit of my life.
Let my character demonstrate that I belong to You.
Produce in me love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Let my words bear fruit. Let my decisions bear fruit. Let my relationships bear fruit. Let my ministry bear fruit. Let my work bear fruit. Let my prayer life bear fruit. Let my private life bear fruit. Let the things I do when nobody is watching agree with the person I present publicly.
I don't want temporary fruit. Jesus, You appointed me to go and bear fruit and that my fruit would remain.
Let what You accomplish through my life outlive the moment.
Father, prune me wherever pruning is necessary.
Remove what is consuming energy but producing no godly fruit. Remove distractions that compete with my assignment. Correct habits that hinder spiritual growth. Break unhealthy attachments. Shut doors that pull me away from Your purpose.
Even when Your pruning is uncomfortable, give me enough maturity to recognize Your hand.
I would rather be corrected and fruitful than comfortable and barren.
Teach me obedience.
Jesus, You said that if I keep Your commandments, I remain in Your love. Therefore, do not allow me to substitute religious activity for obedience.
If You tell me to forgive, I will forgive.
If You tell me to give, I will give.
If You tell me to speak, I will speak.
If You tell me to be silent, I will be silent.
If You tell me to wait, I will wait.
If You tell me to move, I will move.
If You tell me to let something go, I will release it.
Give me both the desire and the power to do what pleases You.
Holy Spirit, lead me today.
I choose to walk by the Spirit so that I will not fulfill the desires of the flesh. Make me sensitive to Your conviction, Your restraint, Your direction, and Your prompting.
Do not let me become so busy doing things for God that I stop listening to God.
Before I respond, teach me to listen. Before I react, teach me to discern. Before I make major decisions, teach me to seek You.
Order my steps according to Your Word.
Father, teach me to love like Jesus loves.
Jesus commanded me to love others as He has loved me. Therefore, deliver me from selective love—loving only those who agree with me, honor me, understand me, or benefit me.
Teach me sacrificial love.
Give me patience with difficult people. Give me compassion toward hurting people. Give me grace toward immature people. Give me wisdom concerning harmful people while keeping hatred out of my heart.
Help me forgive as I have been forgiven.
Let people encounter the character of Christ through the way I treat them.
Jesus, thank You for choosing me.
Your Word says, "You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit."
Therefore, I reject the need to prove my worth through comparison with other people. I do not need another person's calling, assignment, platform, recognition, or anointing.
You chose me. You appointed me.
Help me faithfully fulfill my assignment.
I will not measure my obedience by another person's progress. I will run the race You have placed before me, looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith.
Father, align my desires with Your desires.
You said that if I remain in Christ and His words remain in me, I can ask what I desire and it will be done.
Therefore, don't merely give me things because I desire them—transform my desires until I desire what You desire.
Purify my motives in prayer.
Let me never use prayer simply as a way of getting heaven to endorse something You never authorized.
Teach me to ask according to Your will. And give me confidence that when I ask according to Your will, You hear me.
Let my life glorify You.
Jesus said the Father is glorified when His disciples bear much fruit.
Therefore, let my success glorify You. Let my increase glorify You. Let my relationships glorify You. Let my resources glorify You. Let my gifts glorify You. Let my testimony glorify You. Let my victories glorify You.
And when You bless me, keep my heart humble enough to remember where the blessing came from.
I declare that I belong to Jesus Christ.
I remain in Christ. His Word remains in me. His love governs me. His Spirit leads me. His commandments direct me. His character is being formed in me. His purpose is being accomplished through me.
I will bear fruit. I will bear much fruit. And by the grace of God, my fruit will remain.
The joy of Christ will remain in me, and my joy will be made full.
MY DAILY ALIGNMENT
Father, before I finish this prayer, I ask You:
Is there anything You have told me to do that I have not done?
Is there anything You have told me to stop that I am still doing?
Is there anyone I need to forgive?
Is there anyone I need to ask to forgive me?
Is there anything occupying my heart that belongs to You?
Is there any relationship, habit, attitude, thought pattern, ambition, or desire pulling me away from You?
Am I producing the fruit You expect from this season of my life?
Am I asking You to bless something You never instructed me to pursue?
Is my private life consistent with my public confession?
Am I truly abiding in You—or have I simply become accustomed to doing religious things?
Holy Spirit, reveal the truth to me, and when You reveal it, give me grace to obey immediately.
I surrender again:
My will to Your will. My thoughts to Your Word. My desires to Your desires. My plans to Your purpose. My body to Your service. My relationships to Your order. My resources to Your stewardship. My future to Your hands. My entire life to Your glory.
I will not attempt to live independently of the Vine.
Jesus, remain in me, and teach me every day how to remain in You.
May my life provide undeniable evidence that I am Your disciple—not merely because of what I say, but because of the fruit I bear, the love I demonstrate, the obedience I practice, and the life I live.
Father, receive glory from my life today.
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
